This month I will focus on a way to ensure calcium requirements are met for children and women. While we need many minerals, calcium plays an important role for optimal health.
Calcium products are offered everywhere these days; health stores, drug stores and even grocery stores. Yet how do we know that the brand of calcium we select is one our bodies can easily assimilate?
The following recipe contains high amounts of calcium, is simple to make and tastes delicious:
Ingredients
organic sesame seeds
organic banana
unsweetened cocoa powder
Soak one cup of sesame seeds in pure water over night in the refrigerator. Blend the sesame seeds and water mixture plus another cup of pure water. Squeeze the blended mixture through a cheese cloth or sprout bag. Place this mixture in a clean blender with a banana and cocoa to taste. You can use whey powder instead of a banana.
Enjoy and let your children adjust the ingredients to their tastes.
